When I visit, what can I expect?

Dress code: Casual, smart casual
Even by Australian standards, we’re pretty easy-going with dress code. You don’t have to buy a suit or wear a Sunday dress, although you’re most welcome to if that’s what you’d prefer to wear. You’ll find quite a wide spectrum of dress codes when you visit us, so we’re sure you’ll feel comfortable with whatever you choose to wear.

We’re friendly
We’ll talk to you. We’ll hopefully not swarm you, but you’ll definitely be welcomed warmly.

We like to start on time
We like to end on time too, so arriving a little early (just in case) is probably a wise idea. However, if you’re running late, simply step in, have a seat and jump straight in. We welcome anyone, anytime they can make it – even if this means coming in halfway through or towards the end of the service.

We sing as a congregation. With enthusiasm.
Nothing like the unmatched timbre of the singing voice. We aim to sing to God and to one another as best as we can. Songs are easy to follow. Songbooks are also available. Please don’t feel you have to sing along if you’re not comfortable doing so. Feel free to just read the words!

We remember Jesus’ resurrection weekly.
You might have heard of Communion or the Lord’s Supper. That’s when Christians break a piece of bread that has no yeast, and drink a portion of grape juice to remember a perfect man, sent from a perfect God, who was made a scapegoat for all the wrongdoing we’ve ever done and will do in future.
It’s an awe-inspiring moment that we welcome you to share with us. Please don’t feel obliged to join in; you’re welcome to observe quietly.

We take up a collection weekly
Please do not feel obligated in any way to contribute to our collection. Giving is not required of anyone. If you feel you want to contribute, feel free to do so. Rest assured that we never pry and we don’t keep tabs on who’s giving and who isn’t.
